Mystery Boxes are a new way for xPortal to reward users that complete quests or missions in the app. They contain some awesome surprises!

This mission can be done only once, by every xPortal user, and everyone has only 24 hours to complete it.

The first mission gives users 24 hours to complete 2 simple quests:

Once this mission is completed (within 24 hours), the user receives a Mystery Box. When they open the Mystery Box, they will find a prize combo inside the Mystery Box that can consist of EGLD, XP, one SFT or one extra Avatar Pack.

Not all boxes contain the same prizes. For example, one box could contain: 1 EGLD, 5420 XP, one SFT and one extra Avatar pack, while another box could contain only 2345 XP and one SFT.

What is certain is that one box contains 100 EGLD every month, one box contains 25 EGLD every week and there is one box that contains 1 EGLD every day.

When you open xPortal, you will notice a new “floating” notification on the bottom of the Home screen, with a timer telling you that you have less than 24 hours to open the Mystery Box:

When you tap the notification, you will see the remaining time and a link to the Mystery Mission

Tapping the button will take you to the mystery mission where you will see that you have to complete 2 simple quests: Buy at least 1 EGLD and Stake at least 1 EGLD:

After you complete the mission, a smart contract on the blockchain will send you a Mystery Box that you can open. Please note that it could take a couple of minutes to receive the Mystery Box.

Because the prizes are randomly selected by a smart contract, in order to open the Mystery Box, you will need to sign a transaction on the blockchain.

After you sign the transaction, the smart contract will randomly select the rewards that you will receive. This could take a couple of minutes.

And then… you discover what prizes you’ve won!

EGLD prizes are usually sent out once per week, so don’t expect to receive them instantly.

No. Every user has their own 24-hours to complete the mission. The timer starts for each user separately, from the moment they update the app and open it.

It’s a good timeframe to give new users an incentive to do something meaningful inside the app within the first 24 of them joining xPortal. It’s important because it increases engagement in the app for new users going further.
