What to do?
Be observant, pay attention! One of the most common scenarios is that scammers can create fake cryptocurrency trading platforms or fake versions of official crypto wallets to trick unsuspecting victims. These websites, even though they are fake, can mimic almost perfectly the official websites. Sometimes, the only difference can be a letter or a symbol in the domain name. Looking so similar to the genuine websites, they are very difficult to tell apart.
Moreover, you need to be careful with links received in your email inbox that look suspicious, text messages, and more important, social media platforms. It is important when you make a decision to invest in a project to do a thorough research before spending your money. Don't believe news or messages that sound too good to be true!
Last but not least, the most important thing when using a digital wallet, is to protect and store your private key (secret phrase) in a secure location, somewhere only you have access and most importantly, not on a digital device.
Remember! The best person that can help protect your assets is yourself!
